Why Tumble Bees Classes Develop More Than Just Your Child's Physical Abilities!

Engaging in various physical activities has a remarkable impact on babies, toddlers, and preschoolers! Among these activities, tumbling stands out for its unique benefits that parents should prioritize for their young children's development. To delve deeper into these advantages, it is crucial to grasp the innate senses we are born with and those that require nurturing.

Our senses are the powerful psychological capacities that organisms possess to collect data for perception. The well-known five senses are sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch, each supported by a dedicated sensory system or organ in the nervous system. In addition, we all have two extra senses: the sense of balance (also known as the vestibular sense) and an intuitive sense of space and position (known as proprioception). While these senses typically operate automatically in adults, children need to develop them.

The following are our TOP TEN areas where we like to focus our weekly play to help develop our 5 senses as well as nurture our two extra senses:

  1. Vestibular – sense of balance

  2. Proprioception – understanding space and position

  3. Social Skills – taking turns, sharing, peer interaction

  4. Classroom Skills – listening, following directions, staying with class

  5. Active Play – establishing exercise is fun

  6. Confidence – learning new skills, encouragement

  7. Courage – overcoming fears, trying hard things

  8. Strength – use/development of muscles

  9. Flexibility – stretching

  10. Foundation – preparation for future activities

At Tumble Bees, your child will thrive in a secure and exciting space, perfect for enhancing their coordination and boosting confidence through sensory exploration.
